“Drive” director Nicolas Winding Refn is at it again with the captivating, female driven, horror film “The Neon Demon“, starring Elle Fanning, Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks, Jena Malone, Bella Heathcote, and Abbey Lee. “The Neon Demon” takes a fascinating look at powerful women in the modeling industry and the viciousness that follows.
The film is based on an original screenplay by Nicolas Winding Refn and co-writer Mary Laws. Last year , the director released this official statement
“One morning I woke and realized I was both surrounded and dominated by women. Strangely, a sudden urge was planted in me to make a horror film about vicious beauty. After making Drive and falling madly in love with the electricity of Los Angeles, I knew I had to return to tell the story of The Neon Demon.”
