The film was directed by Paul Feig and reunites some of the stars from his comedy hit Bridesmaids: Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig, alongside Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Charles Dance, Michael Kenneth Williamsand Chris Hemsworth.
