Starting this year, Netflix will launch Guillermo Del Toro’s animated series “Trollhunters“, in association with DreamWorks Animation. “Trollhunters” is a young adult, fantasy novel written by Del Toro and Daniel Kraus. Set in San Berdandino, California, children have begun to disappear, as rumors of trolls circulate thru out the town. The locals are in compete disbelief, but one fifteen yr old boy knows the danger is very real.
This new Netflix series is part of a larger agreement between DreamWorks Animation to expand their current multi-year contract and develop a number of new family friendly original series.
“DreamWorks Animation is synonymous with great storytelling that families around the world enjoy,” said Cindy Holland, Vice President of Original Series for Netflix. “It’s with great pleasure that we expand on an already successful relationship with DreamWorks Animation to bring more premium kids and family television to Netflix members globally.”
