This star studded drama follows a famous aging rock star (Swinton) and her younger boyfriend as they vacation on the beautiful volcanic island of Pantelleria Things take a dark turn when an old friend (Fiennes) and his daughter (Dakota Johnson) interrupt the serene getaway. The film is described as a “sensuous portrait of desire, jealousy and rock and roll, under the Mediterranean sun.”
The Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino received much acclaim and a Golden Lion nomination at the films premiere during the Venice Film Festival.
